A former Bosnian Croat paramilitary leader has pleaded guilty to four counts of war crimes for leading an attack on a Muslim village in central Bosnia-Herzegovina in which at least 16 civilians were killed.
Ivica Rajic made his plea before The Hague tribunal on war crimes in former Yugoslavia, acknowledging, among other things, his role in willfull killing and wanton destruction of property in the village of Stupni Dol.
Mr. Rajic issued his plea after prosecutors agreed to drop six of the original counts.
Croatian authorities arrested him in 2003 and extradited him to The Hague.
Sentencing is set for next month.
