Senior CPC official meets Croatian SDP delegation

BEIJING, Nov. 3 (Xinhuanet) -- The Communist Party of China (CPC) attaches importance to relations with the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Croatia, said a senior CPC official here Thursday.

Huang Ju, member of the Political Bureau Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at a meeting with a SDP delegation led by the party's leader Ivica Racan.

Huang, also Chinese vice-premier, said the CPC will work with all friendly political parties of Croatia, including the SDP, to push forward Sino-Croatian relations.

Huang spoke positively of bilateral cooperation and exchanges in various fields and the important role of political parties in promoting state-to-state relations.

The development of a bilateral partnership of overall cooperation is in the fundamental interest of the two countries and their peoples, said Huang.

Racan said the SDP hopes to strengthen friendship and cooperation with the CPC, and he believes China will make greater achievements in the future.
