17:46 - 23 November 2005 - Serbian and Croatian Prime Ministers Vojislav Kostunica and Ivo Sanader respectively said in Zagreb that the increasingly improving relations between Serbia and Croatia will add to the stability in the region and help to solve all open issues.

Following the meeting, Kostunica said that Serbia and Croatia’s common European future is what brings together these two countries and their people, and added that each Croatia’s step towards Europe will be welcomed in Serbia-Montenegro, and interpreted as a sign of advancement of the entire region.

Sanader said that Kostunica’s visit to Zagreb is a good step toward solving all issues, adding that it is also a sign of the countries’ willingness to show their responsibility and give a pledge to the future and peace in Europe.

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, who is heading the Serbian government delegation to Croatia, met in Zagreb with Croatian President Stjepan Mesic and Croatian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Seks.

Part of the visit will be signing contracts on international combined transport of goods, reconstruction of the railway bridge Bogojevo-Erdut, and veterinary, phytosanitary and scientific-technological cooperation.
