Fictionalized account of Croatian war prisoner just released

Croatian Times

7/16/2012

A novel based on the true story, including actual tapes, of a young Croatian woman who was held hostage
as a sex slave, or "comfort woman", for over two months by Serbian soldiers during the occupation of
the eastern Croatian city of Vukovar in 1991 has just been released.

"I believe that the women of Vukovar have been completely forgotten. They have waited twenty years for
understanding, justice, love, but they haven’t received anything. I hope this will start to change and
that people will support these women. In this way, the entire community will be changed. I think there
is a lot of anger, pain, and sadness here that needs to come out so that healing can take place. The
women have a right to healing and justice. This is important for Vukovar, so that it can move forward."
says author Busic.

"Living Cells", by American author Julienne Eden Busic, is available in both Croatian and English and
in both print and Kindle versions, through local bookstores or at amazon.com

The Croatian edition of "Living Cells titled "Ziva Glava" can be ordered atwww.interpublic.hr or purchased
in "Skolska knjiga" throughout Croatia.
